Frozen Food

the joy of cooking frozen food (#9)

you probably know these days when there's no time to cook up something fresh and you just grab a pizza from the deep freeze and that's it for the night........ mmmh.... yeah that's it for this show too.

The damn job is VERY time consuming atm and so I filed through my harddisk looking for a suitable mix for the show. what I found suitable might not be everybody's cup of tea although the taste is pretty digestible. Guess it's from 98 or 99 and the sound is rather contemporary and mellow. no obscure flea market finds but names like Four Tet, Lemon Jelly and Karma.... even some beautiful IKEA music ; ) from the viennese lounge kaisers and probably some PORK releases too (was a huge Pork fan in the 90s... when I think of it...I still am!). Anyway I hope you'll enjoy some of these old tunes. Next time we'll have something real fresh again ... happy defrosting! Cheers, Basso

Not a fan of frozen food or pork for that matter, though a little Fila always goes down well (Phoebus Brumal is a close friend). But I'm downing this anyway just in case the power goes out.
Thanks!

Nice one.
Got to say I prefer the more "out there" selections you do usually but this is still a fun mix.

Some tracks sound very much like a product of their time but that's fine with me since I used to be very much into these "future jazz" sounds (I think that's the term you could file most of the tracks on the mix under... even if "future jazz" is not great word ;)) as well.

Anyway, thanks for this "vintage" mix ;)
