Prins Emanuel - Leisure and Business

We have a lovely new guest mix!
It's a synthastic trip around the musical globe recorded by Malmö bound producer and DJ Prins Emanuel. He's one of the label heads of Fasaan and Chalice, the later one with an awesome recent release with tracks by Sasac, Golden Ivy and one of Prins Emanuel's monikers Witch Doctor. Check out also the Midnight Cruise EP - recorded together with Golden Ivy from late 2012. Looking forward to hearing more from the duo. There will be a 12" and also an album coming later this year!!
Follow them on soundcloud - but first check out his Leisure and Business mix...

Thanks a lot Emanuel!!

Mysterious Lights

What a mysterious light!?! I have passed that record more than a couple of times without listening. When I finally did I had to punch myself for judging a record for it' s cover - again! I missed some pretty awesome contemporary jazz ranging from "organic night tales" to ambient synthetics. In other words - it's a subtle bomb!!
check it out the full album here and listen to my fave here
Cheers, Basso

Jacked Horkheimer - Spring Mix

I close my eyes and i see a guitar with blossoms growing out of the pegheads...
Jacked Horkheimer aka Tim aka mosquito chimney is blessing us with this ode to spring. As subtle and deep as it gets. I must admit that I'm listening to this for weeks already and I can tell you it's a wonderful "everyday companion".
THANK YOU TIM!

Spanish Fly on the wheels of Jazz

I wanted to post this one for ages already but forgot it again and again. Now's the time for this hard to find german Latin Jazz goodie. If you dig tight Latin Fusion Jazz, some excellent scatting and even a bit of humor this one will make you smile for a while!

Kenneth Bager - Music For Dreams

Here's some baked delights directly from danish pioneer Kenneth Bager 's lovely oven. Being a DJ and producer since the 80s he knows damn well how to use some tasty ingredients.  He's has been on national radio in Denmark for 4 decades and keeps playing old discoveries, new and interesting music every monday on his Music For Dreams show on Ibiza Sonica radio.
Kenneth has worked with Julee Cruise, Jean Luc Ponty, Aloe Blacc, Damon C Scott from Storm Queen and Sofie Gråbøl, leading actress from the cult Tv series "The Killing" are featured on his forthcoming album "Follow the Beat".
While Kenneth is not making music or playing in Ibiza, he throws some of the best parties around - his Coma Club celebrated the 25th anniversary last year. He also does a festival called "The Apple Flower Festival" together with Danish chef Claus Meyer - some of the line up for this year is: Gigi Masin playing live (!!), Phil Mison, Tako & Abel, HubbabubbaKlubb as well as yours truly :)
Not to Forget his label Music For Dreams having released more than 65 albums to date. In his mix for the growing bin Kenneth takes us on a relaxed and classy stroll through some decades of amazing music.
Thanks so much Kenneth!

Here's some nice german boogie from the late 80s released on the private? Plurabelle label. I discovered this record some years ago and nobody really cared about this until some weeks ago some french Boogie Dealers declared this to some kind of holy grail. Too bad that I ran out of copies ;)
