Benoit Hutin - Synthétiseur

Benoit Hutin - WM 006, 1982 - Synthétiseur

With my head usually firmly stuck up the library end of music, I do occasionally rip other stuff. And what better place to share it than on The Growing Bin? Thanks to the team for letting me do so! Hope you'll enjoy the music :)

Having heard Benoit Hutin's fine contributions to the elusive librarylabel, Musax, I've been looking for his stuff. I found a somewhat battered copy of his 1982 debut album, and was happy to discover some fine electronic music so typically French; catchy and fittingly pompous. They must have added something to the tap water back then, enjoy!

  4. Great news! Thanks. I'm unsure if Angel Rada would call himself a new age guy. From the back of the covers of the lps i have it reads like he was a klaus schulze fan ; ) my fave is Viveka, but his first also got TUNES... and you're right - the later ones sound a bit esoteric

  7. Welcome pornotrond!
Connoisseurs say the most fantastic album by Benoit Hutin is the following.
It's "Electronic" on Musax so it's very hard to find.
Do you have any plans for it?

    Thanks for your great album.

  11. Sweet cross-pollinating library gods, Pornotrond posting on The Growing Bin!? You're messin' with ma mind man...All my carefully constructed and somewhat arbitary "that music blog goes there..that one goes here.." categories are dissolving in a po-mo morass of floating signifiers...

Actually its a forgone conclusion that Pornotrond + Growing Bin is going to = cool electronic shit and this album bears out my assumption in spades....the album surfs the sine wave between early eighties French analog fromage frais and coolshitelectronics with aplomb and ease..

So is the Musax release he contributes to in a similar style...harder..softer...faster..slower?

  12. Thanks for the welcome :)

Synthetiseur is still on my shelf, Ghost Arcade. Didn't know there was a sequel to this one. I've been looking for Electronic on Musax, but no luck there. Heard snippets from it, sounds amazing.

  13. Dear Sir

I was contacted by one of my fans on facebook that you have posted one copyrighted vinyl on your webpage. please remove the item as soon as possible or I will have to contact the blogspot about violation of copyright laws over here.

    thanks

  14. Dear Benoit Hutin, as we are your fans too we removed the link immediately. Sorry for the trouble and thanks for the beautiful music. Best, Basso

  15. Seems sad when artists request their music be removed when there really is no other way of actually getting hold of the music as it has never been re-released.

Unless they actually have plans to reissue their music they should be happy that there are fans out there.
