Here’s a your chance to sit back and contemplate over these wonderful tunes Tsukasa Ito offers us in his latest mix for the growing bin.

I have the fondest memories of listening to Tsukasa play at Shelter in 2012. Having not slept for three days in a row before this evening due to an insane jetlag made me embrace his warm and subtle soundscapes even more. If you followed his excellent collection of mixes over the years (great examples here, here, here & here) you know what I mean. If you’re in Tokyo don’t miss one of the monthly nights Tsuakasa is celebrating with Chee and Ginji out in 〒192-0071 Hachiōji-shi at SHELTER

Thank so much Tsukasa.

I'm very happy to announce a new guest mix at the bin. A mix made by my friend Dubby from Tokyo, Japan. Dubby is a longtime collector and DJ. Last year he started the ONDAS online shop for undiscovered japanese treasures. Not a completely new thing to master Dubby as he's been the buyer for the legendary Cisco Records for 10 years.
Back to the music. Night Mirage is night music as one would guess. Relaxing yet paralizing. A night drive into the unknown dark. Experimental beauty. Enjoy your trip. Here's a mix by my friend Bobby Beige recorded whilst his first residency on Ibiza this autumn. He usually plays lovely records all summer long in the wonderful Garden in Zadar, Croatia. Ibiza isn't bad either - especially La Escollera where the magic happened that you'e about to hear ;)
Bobby's in the music biz for a long time already. Being part of the Pork collective (he recorded as Bullitnuts, Opik and Momma Gravy) Bobby's playing chilled out music since the mid nineties. Apart from being a supernice guy Bobby got TASTE and knows his shit from Azymuth to Thrill Jockey.
I had the pleasure to play some hours of back to back with him this summer and every tune that he dropped was brilliant! Just as this selection. Thanks a lot Bobby!!bassohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01939978761741197081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2000520055163197013.post-3780353644227784342015-01-10T11:12:00.000+01:002015-01-10T11:12:06.473+01:00Elephants stomping over cars filled with fish
bassohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01939978761741197081noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2000520055163197013.post-7961570843831446332014-11-18T12:32:00.002+01:002014-11-18T12:34:38.471+01:00in the garden

This summer I had the pleasure to play some records in the wonderful Garden at Zadar, Croatia. If you have the chance travel there - do so - you won't regret!!
Here's the recording of the first hour from saturday afternoon. Every time I listen to it I have the fondest memories of standing there in the shade, watching the ships float by, sipping on Aperol Spritz and playing some music for my lady reading a book, Bobby Beige taking a nap and the garden's guests chilling out.
I feel the urge have to mention that this mix starts with a recording by Luc Ferrari called Presque Rien No.1 (Le Lever Du Jour Au Bord De La Mer). The original recordings for this piece are said to be recorded at the croation coast not far away from Zadar so I took the opportunity to bring it back there. Kind of my way to say thank you, Monsieur Ferrari. At least I got rewarded by some strange looks of the garden's service team :) I hope you enjoy this releaxed hour ...

Hugest thanks to Bobby, Charlotte, Nick and the whole Garden Team for some amazing days in the sun!bassohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01939978761741197081noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2000520055163197013.post-64316781441477767732014-10-26T19:23:00.001+01:002014-10-26T19:25:22.311+01:00quietude finally
Our gently baked new guest mix comes from the Dream Chimney aka Ryan Chimney known for making beautiful music as the Beat Broker. Coming from California - the mecca of new age - he blesses us with heavenly fumigated electronica!

I'd like to use this post to deeply THANK YOU Ryan for creating one of most wonderful places in the web. Like thousands of others I discovered tons of great tunes and musicians through the TOTD. On top of that I got to know some wonderful people there as well. Long live the Dream Chimney!!
Hi there! I've been curious about this one for a while, mostly due to the tracknames of the a-side. Underwater-themed Italian librarymusic.. mmmmmm. I don't even know if it *is* librarymusic, as info on this release is scarce. Maybe someone can shed some light. This is not the best of rips, but I'm sure one will eventually surface that does this moody album justice. Enjoy it!
